More Old Stuff in Dublin
We had one more day in Dublin – and we did our best to pack-in as much sight-seeing as possible. So – we hit-up sights like Dublin Castle (above)….and Temple Bar.
In the morning – we needed to catch a bus back to the airport – drop our bags off in Mick’s car – then catch another bus to Dublin City Centre.
There were horses grazing by the bus stop.
ANDRE LIKE HORSIES – BUT MOMMY WAS WORRIED THE HORSIES WOULD MISTAKEN ANDRE FOR FOOD. MOMMY WATCHES OUT FOR ANDRE.
WHILE MOMMY, MARKIE AND ANDRE WAITED FOR THE BUS AT THE AIRPORT – ANDRE LEARNS GAELIC FOR BAR.
BAR IN GAELIC IS BEAR – LIKE ANDRE. ANDRE LIKES A LOT.
MOMMY TAKES MARKIE AND ANDRE ACROSS O’CONNELLY BRIDGE.
HERE’S MARKIE ON THE BRIDGE.
THEN MOMMY TAKES US THROUGH TEMPLE BAR – LOT’S OF SHOPS AND ‘BEARS’….ANDRE LIKES THAT WORD 🙂
THEN MARKIE FINDS THE DUBLIN CASTLE.
MOMMY SAID DUBLIN CASTLE DATES BACK TO THE 1200’S. ANDRE THINKS THAT’S OLD.
MARKIE WALKS ON THE GRASS….MOMMY WORRIED BECAUSE SHE WASN’T SURE IF MARKIE WAS ALLOWED TO DO THAT…..ANDRE THINKS MOMMY SHOULD CHILL OUT.
ANDRE LIKES THE LITTLE GARDENS AT DUBLIN CASTLE.
MARKIE LIKES THE PALM TREES AT DUBLIN CASTLE.
THEN MOMMY TOOK MARKIE AND ANDRE TO ST. PATRICK’S CATHEDRAL.
MOMMY SAID ST. PADDY BAPTIZED CONVERTS HERE BACK AROUND 450 AD. ANDRE THINKS THAT’S OLD.
MOMMY SAW A SIGN THAT SAID ST.PADDY’S BECAME AN ANGLICAN CHURCH. MOMMY AND MARKIE THOUGHT THAT WAS WEIRD.
MARKIE SAW A SIGN THAT SAID THESE FLAGS WERE CARRIED INTO BATTLE BY SOLIDERS – WORLD WAR I AND II.
