I went to Stonehenge with Andrea and my honey. It was cool. These stones are about 5000 years old….more or less…they were built around the same time that Egyptians had their pyramids and were working on building more of those giant structures.
I thought the rocks would be bigger…
The entrance fee of 4 pounds included an audio guide…learned a lot about Stonehenge…the narrators kept repeating how much we didn’t know about this site…
Stonehenge is a few miles away from Salisbury…
We had a late lunch at the Ale and Cider House…they only take cash…
The Avon River ran through the town….I think this is the same river that ancient people used to float about the stones to Stonehenge….academics estimate that it took 600 men to lift one of those big stones
ok…and if you squint…this is Mark and me…standing on a bridge….nice bridge…
it’s lovely to go out with three people…for an outing like this….that means we can take pictures of more people 🙂 and Mark and I can do more “couple” pix”
Thanks Andrea!
I AM SO GLAD TO SEE YOU GOT TO GO TO STONEHEDGE I WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE IT LOOKS LIKE I BELONG THERE. SEE YA SOON LOVE YA LINDA
